Supreme Tieguanyin is one of our highest-grade teas and is known for its signature “green fragrance”, which is a result of minimal oxidation. This tea was grown in the Anxi High Mountain of Fujian Province by a traditional farm we have been working with for over five decades. The high altitude and misty growing climate gently translate into slower leaf growth, giving time for the leaves to develop more potency and a higher concentration of essential oils.
The clusters of high-grade, crafted leaves open slowly, unfurling to show their characteristic large size and serrated edges. This Oolong is a rolled-leaf style and through multiple steeps will release a deep, multi-layered buttery taste with hints of orchid flowers and bright with a smoother and thicker mouthfeel. Cups to lovely, bright yellow-green liquor. The wonderful flavor will linger to be enjoyed for a prolonged period!
